OSHKOSH, Wis. — One person is dead and two others are injured following a stabbing and officer-involved shooting in Oshkosh.
Police were called to a residence in the 400 block of W. 10th Avenue around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday to find a person outside who had been stabbed.
Officers went inside and encountered the suspect, who was armed with a “bladed weapon.” The suspect allegedly refused orders from officers, prompting one of them to fire at and strike the suspect.
Another stabbing victim was also found inside the residence. All three people were taken to the hospital where the suspect was later pronounced dead.
The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard policy.
The state Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the incident.
