UPDATE: The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office identifies the victim as 63-year-old Kurt Stadmueller. Stadmueller was last seen Dec. 11 and reported as missing. The incident remains under investigation.

MENASHA, WI — The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Dive Team recovers a vehicle with a body inside from Little Lake Butte des Morts.
The dive team, sheriff’s deputies and Menasha police officers were dispatched to the 9th Street boat launch in Menasha shortly before 3 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say the vehicle broke through ice on the lake.
The victim is identified as a male from Appleton. His name has not been released.
