KAUKAUNA, Wis. — A sprinkler system limits fire-related damage at a Kaukauna apartment complex.
Crews were called to Lamplighter Apartments around 3:30 p.m. Saturday to find residents evacuating but no smoke or flames.
Firefighters learned that a sprinkler put out a small fire on an upper-floor balcony.
Damage was limited to the building’s exterior. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire appears to have been improperly disposed smoking materials.
