NEENAH, Wis. — One person is dead following a crash in Neenah. Police say a vehicle struck a tree in the 800 block of S. Park Avenue and started on fire around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
A man was found unconscious in the car and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers later learned that the victim’s 1-year-old child may have been in his apartment. The baby was found in the unit, which was filled with smoke, and turned over to a family member without the need for medical treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
