APPLETON, Wis–A person that engaged Appleton Police in a lengthy standoff last week has died. Officers were called to an apartment complex along Bay Street Friday afternoon on the report of an armed person making threats.
Several hours later, the SWAT team made entry into an apartment and found the person with a self-inflicted injury. That person died at the hospital.
No other information is being released.
