FOND DU LAC, WI — A Menasha man is arrested in connection with an arson fire in Fond du Lac prompted by plans to ban the social media site TikTok in the U.S. Fond du Lac Police and Fire-Rescue crews were dispatched to a strip mall around 1:02 Sunday morning to a structure fire at 525 N. Peters Avenue. That’s the location of Congressman Glenn Grothman’s district office. That fire caused minor damage to the building. Police located a 19-year-old Menasha man near that strip mall who admitted setting the fire because of the TikTok ban. He was arrested on a charge of arson and jailed. The building was not occupied at the time of the fire. The investigation into this case continues.
