TOWN OF BEAVER DAM, Wis. — One person is killed and six others are hurt in a Dodge County crash.
The sheriff’s office says a pickup truck failed to stop at the intersection of highways B and A in the town of Beaver Dam and was struck by an SUV around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
The 30-year-old Tennessee man riding in the truck was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver, a 32-year-old Tennessee man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and arrested on suspicion of operating while impaired — first offense.
The 35-year-old Fox Lake man driving the SUV and the 38-year-old Fox Lake woman riding with him were also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Three children in that vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
