APPLETON, Wis. — Starting next school year, the Edison school attendance area will include the entire Columbus Elementary School boundary plus the Franklin school boundary south of Wisconsin Avenue and Dunlap school’s boundary east of Richmond Street.
The Appleton school board unanimously voted Monday in favor of Option 3.
The redrawn boundary follows the board’s decision to end classroom instruction due to declining enrollment at Columbus.
Superintendent Greg Hartjes says the new boundaries will allow for minimal impact on students and their families……….
Columbus school’s enrollment has dropped from 161 students for the 2018-19 school year to under 100 over the past three years.
