GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — Work begins Monday, Feb. 3 on a heavily-used interchange in Grand Chute.
Crews will be redoing Northland Avenue at Interstate 41 and constructing diverging diamond intersections.
As a result, Northland will be closed to traffic at I-41 through the fall. The ramp from Northland to southbound I-41 will also be shut down during that timeframe. There will be a partial shutdown of the ramp from southbound I-41 to Northland as well, with only right turns allowed at Northland.
Below are the suggested detour routes provided by the state Department of Transportation:
- WIS 15/County OO/Northland Avenue bridge over I-41 will be CLOSED on Monday, February 3 to fall 2025.
- EB WIS 15/County OO/Northland Avenue detour: County CB to WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue to Lynndale Drive.
- WB WIS 15/County OO/Northland Avenue detour: Lynndale Drive to WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue to County CB.
- SB I-41 on-ramp from WIS 15 will be CLOSED on Monday, February 3 to fall 2025.
- SB I-41 off-ramp at WIS 15 will be PARTIALLY CLOSED (allowing right turns only) beginning on Monday, February 3.
- SB I-41 to County OO/Northland Avenue detour: SB I-41 to WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue off-ramp, follow WIS 96 east to Lynndale Drive, turn north onto Lynndale Drive back to County OO/Northland Avenue.
The work is part of the expansion of I-41 from four lanes to six between Grand Chute and De Pere.
