APPLETON, Wis. — St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System appoints a new president.
Terry Tyrrell will assume the role on July 1.
Tyrrell comes to Xavier from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he served as president of a Catholic high school.
His appointment follows the resignation of interim president Katie Heim last month and the firings of high school principal Mike Mauthe and superintendent John Ravizza the previous month.
Mauthe was found to have violated the Diocese of Green Bay’s Our Promise to Protect policy. Ravizza’s termination was for failing to report Mauthe’s violation.
No further details on the violation have been released.
