The incident took place earlier this month, when an American Airlines flight operated by Air Wisconsin made an emergency landing in Milwaukee during a Chicago to Appleton flight. The pilot initially radioed in problems with the landing gear and requested to land at Mitchell Airport.
The plane landed safely, but did sustain damage. The F-A-A believes the incident was due to pilot error.
