FOND DU LAC, WI — Sentence is handed down for a man living in the U.S. illegally in an attempted homicide in Fond du Lac County.
Fermin Teodoro Lopez-Mendoza will spend 20-years in prison and ten-years of extended supervision for attempted homicide with a dangerous weapon. Investigators say Lopez-Mendoza stabbed his partner mutliple times last year causing life-threatening injuries that required surgery.
Lopez-Mendoza is subject to an ICE detainer and is expected to be deported after serving his sentence.
