MENASHA, WI — Menasha Police officers are using March Madness as an outreach to students and the community at large.
The department is holding its first March Madness Bracket Challenge which will feature two brackets. One will be for adults 18-years and older. The other will be for students at all levels.
Those with the best tournament brackets will win the Grand Prize of spending half-a-day at the Menasha Police Department to get a behind the scenes view of police operations.
Menasha Community Liason Officer Matt Roe came up with the idea.
Officer Roe explains how the Grand Prize for winners with the best tournament brackets will get a better idea of what police officers face daily.
Officer Roe hopes the community comes away with a different view of officers.
Brackets must be submitted via ESPN-dot-com/fantasy by 11 AM Thursday March 20.
