GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. — A wildfire burns more than 700 acres in Green Lake County.
The so-called “Big Island Fire” reportedly broke out in the White River Marsh State Wildlife Area around 4:15 p.m. Monday.
Six homes were evacuated. There have been no reports of property damage or injuries.
Crews were able to contain the fire as of about 5:25 a.m. Tuesday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
