APPLETON, WI — A proposal to build a selfie structure in Houdini Plaza is put on hold Wednesday.
Appleton Downtown, Incorporated wanted to erect an aluminum sculpture that plays off its “One Great Place” brand with locator pins with cutouts for photos.
While the City Plan Commission recommended approval of the project, Appleton Downtown, Incorporated Executive Director Jennifer Stephany asked that the resolution be tabled for practical reasons.
Appleton Common Council members voted in favor of granting A-D-I’s request and referred the proposal back to the committee level.
