APPLETON, WI — The name of an employee killed in a workplace accident March 12 at Progressive Converting is released. The Outagamie County Coroner says 44-year-old Jean Ndakebuka of Appleton died at the scene in an accident involving forklift operations. Results of an autopsy are pending. The incident is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

APPLETON, WI — An employee at Progressive Coating, also known as ProCon, in Appleton dies in a workplace accident Wednesday afternoon.
According to a statement issued to our media partner, Action 2 News, ProCon confirmed what it called “…a tragic accident…March 12th at our Glendale Avenue location resulting in fatal injuries to one of our employees.” That statement goes on to say ProCon is “working closely to ensure that we provide the correct care and support for all employees in the region” and “is working closely with all local, state and federal agencies to fully investigate the incident.”
Meantime, the Appleton Area OSHA Office says it has opened an investigation related to forklift operations at ProCon.
No further details have been released.
