FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A man convicted in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac man is sentenced in that case.
Eric Perry will spend 50 years of initial confinement and 20 years of extended supervision for second-degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon with a repeater enhancer, armed robbery as a repeater and felon in possession of a firearm with a repeat enhancer.
Those charges are in connection with the October 2021 death of Benzel Rose, whom Perry shot in the head during a drug deal. Co-defendant Julius Freeman was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery with the use of force in 2023.
Freeman is serving a life sentence with eligibility for release after 35 years.
