I said it after my conversation with challenger Gordon Hintz on Tuesday, and I’ll say it again today– This job is much easier when we get to discuss an election surrounding 2 good candidates, and that’s what we have in the race for Winnebago County Executive.
While County Executive Doemel’s experience in life is vastly different than what his challenger brings to the table when it comes to “political experience”, that brings with it a fresh perspective on how to address the issues in the county.
We covered a number of different topics during our conversation including what caused him to run in the first place (an answer that I can absolutely get behind), why it feels like affordable housing is impossible to achieve these days, and what we can expect as far as tax revenue.
In true Wisconsin fashion, this will probably end up being a close race, which is why it’s important to get your voice heard on Election Day, April 1st.
