BEAVER DAM, Wis. — A missing and pregnant teenager from Beaver Dam is found safe.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office in Nebraska received a tip that 17-year-old Sophia Franklin and the father of her unborn child, 40-year-old Gary Day, were possibly near Omaha.

Deputies responded to the location and took Day into custody. Franklin was taken to a secure facility, where she is awaiting reunification with her family.
Day, who is from Arkansas, is accused of taking Franklin from her Beaver Dam home in early February. He is facing counts of abduction and child enticement in Dodge County Court.
