APPLETON, Wis. — Valley Transit is still waiting to find out if it will still receive a grant initially awarded to it for construction of a new center in downtown Appleton. The system was informed last summer that it was getting $25 million from the federal Department of Transportation, but General Manager Ron McDonald says that is now under another round of review…………..
McDonald says developers are still working on designs for the new transit center, expecting the money to come through……………
The Valley Transit center will feature a bus station and operations center on the ground floor, some commercial space, and apartments on the upper levels. It will be located in the 200 block of N. Oneida Street.
