FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A North Fond du Lac man is found guilty of providing drugs to an overdose victim.
A Fond du Lac County jury returns the verdict against Christopher Hoerth on one count of first-degree reckless homicide.
Hoerth provided fentanyl-laced drugs to his sister, who was found dead in May of 2020. He had previously pleaded no contest to the charge but then withdrew from the plea deal and demanded a trial.
It took the jury about an hour to return the verdict after a five-day trial.
Hoerth faces up to 60 years in prison. No sentencing date has been set.
