APPLETON, Wis. — A Seymour bowling alley owner faces multiple charges in the alleged choking of a 13-year-old boy.
According to the criminal complaint, James Beilfuss, who owns Wally’s Seymour Bowling Alley, got into an argument with the boy after allegedly yelling at him for bowling the wrong way. The teen was bowling with friends, who are members of a bowling league.
The complaint also says the boy swore at Beilfuss, who then grabbed the boy by the neck but released him after realizing he was acting wrongly. Beilfuss told police he’d had trouble with the 13-year-old the week before.
Beilfuss made an initial appearance Wednesday in Outagamie County Court on charges of strangulation and suffocation, child abuse-intentionally causing harm and disorderly conduct. He faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted.
