OSHKOSH, Wis–Anyone under the age of 16 will have to check in with security if they plan to be in the Oshkosh Public Library after 6:30 at night. A new policy requires unaccompanied teens to show their student ID, a state issued ID, their drivers license, or their library card at the greeter station to enter.

Library Director Darryl Eschete says the policy is in response to a series of incidents involving teens that have made other library users feel unsafe. The check-in policy will continue through the end of the current school year.
