A Waupaca County man is being called a hero for saving a friend from drowning.
Masin Beaudoin and Parker Brunette were swimming in Casey Lake on May 27th, when Brunette slipped below the water for several minutes.
Waupaca County Sheriff Timothy Wilz says Beaudoin swam out to Brunette, pulled him to shore, and performed CPR.
Wilz presented Beaudoin with a special life-saving award and challenge coin during today’s Waupaca County Board meeting.
