Prosecutors are charging a Monticello man with killing his ex-girlfriend’s father, and shooting her and another man in Oshkosh.
They believe Joshua Aide was upset they were replacing the radiator of a car the former couple owned.
Fifty-nine-year-old James Gruettner died of a gunshot wound outside of a house on Minnesota Street last Tuesday night. Thirty-three-year-old Rebecca Borkowski and 57-year-old John Miller were also seriously wounded.
Prosecutors say Aide had threatened the woman earlier about not touching the car. They say he had a handgun with a red laser sight when he opened fire.
He’s accused of calling a friend while he was driving to Monticello, and admitting to the shootings. Deputies were waiting for Aide when he got home, and they think he was drunk.
Aide is facing one count of first-degree intentional homicide, and two counts of attempted murder.
