Wisconsin’s Democratic U.S. Senator believes the country is in a crisis because of President Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Madison is criticizing the president for holding an in-person event in Oshkosh this afternoon. She says Trump refuses to create a national system for testing and contact tracing. She also blames him for not using the national defense act to increase the supplies of personal protective equipment and testing supplies.
Baldwin points out some of those supplies that were supposed to come to Wisconsin were diverted to other states. She says if Trump is going to visit Oshkosh, he should bring those items with him.
Baldwin says Trump’s push for a wall along the southern border took about $100 million in work from the Oshkosh Corporation.
