Outagamie County has a new veterans service officer.
He’s David Holst, and he’s been working in the office as a benefits specialist.
Holst is a veteran of the Iraq War. He served in the Marines for four years and he spent nearly two decades in the Army National Guard.
County Executive Tom Nelson fired the past veterans service officer Jon LiDonne.
Nelson says he reached out to veterans organizations during the search.
