A member of the Appleton School Board facing a possible recall election resigns.
Leah Olson tendered her resignation on November 30th. She held her position for three and a half years and was up for re-election next year.
In a statement to the board, Olson wrote that the continuing pandemic has forced her to evaluate priorities and commitments.
She says she needs to spend more with her family. Olson was included in a recall effort by some parents upset the district is not allowing kids back into the classroom.
Applications for that seat will be accepted until December 18th.
