An annual race to raise money for the American Cancer Society is back.
The Sole Burner was a virtual event last year. The race is normally held exclusively at City Park in downtown Appleton but Organizer Cindy Sommer says they’re going to spread things out. She says runners will still be at City Park but walkers can choose from Hydro Park in Kaukauna, Sunset Park in Kimberly or Loop the Lake Trail in Neenah.
The virtual race raised $145,000 in 2019 that total was $300,000. The Sole Burner begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
