Bellin Health is among the Wisconsin health care facilities being aided by the Wisconsin National Guard. Ten national guard Certified Nursing Assistant trainees will assist Bellin staff in working through continued high hospital volumes due to COVID-19 and overall demands on the hospital and health system. Anne Hale, a Vice-President with Bellin Health, says the National Guard assistants will allow Bellin to move patients out of their hospital into the Odd Fellow Home nursing center.
Hale also says National Guard staff are coming as Bellin has had problems attracting and keep health care staff.
Governor Tony Evers announced the National Guard assistance plan Thursday afternoon. The program is also setting up a Certified Nursing Assistant training program with Madison College for national guard members.
