Police departments across the state have been dealing with fake reports of school shootings today (Thursday). Green Bay Police say they got a call just after 10:00 this morning claiming there was an active shooter at East High School and that 15-people had been shot.
Upon arrival, officers found no shooter and no injuries.
Oshkosh Police say they received a call shortly before 10:30 a.m. of a disturbance involving a weapon at South Park Middle School. The school resource officer and additional officers searched the building and did not find anything of concern.
Officials say several other cities received similar calls today. The source of those calls has not been determined.
