MADISON, WI — The victims of last year’s Waukesha Christman Parade attack will be honored state-wide with flags lowered to half-staff on November 21. That will mark the one-year anniversary of the tragedy in which Darrell Brooks drove an SUV into the parade. Governor Evers issues the flag lowering order today in honor of 52-year-old Tamara Durand, 81-year-old Wilhelm Hospel, 52-year-old Jane Kulich, 71-year-old Leanna Owen, 79-year-old Virginia Sorenson and eight-year-old Jackson Sparks. Brooks was sentenced to life without parole Wednesday on six-counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide.
