CHILTON, Wis. — A Chilton man accused of lying about the location of a cold case murder victim’s body is acquitted.
A Calumet County jury finds John Andrews not guilty of Obstructing an Officer.
In June of 2021, Andrews allegedly told investigators looking into Starkie Swenson’s 1983 disappearance that he did not know where the body was. Hikers found Swenson’s remains in High Cliff State Park in September of that year.
Andrews had served two years in prison for Homicide by Negligent Use of a Vehicle in connection with Swenson’s death in 1983, where Andrews admitted to hitting him with his car.
