Life celebration set for Oshkosh Police K9

OSHKOSH, WI — The Oshkosh Police Department announces a life celebration service for a K-9 that passed away last weekend. A public life celebration of K-9 Magic is set for Tuesday December 12th starting at 9:30 A-M at the Best Western Premier Hotel on North Main Street in Oshkosh. K-9 Magic was diagnosed with cancer that surrounded her heart and other organs. That prompted the department to have the Golden Retriever euthanized. Magic had served with the Oshkosh Police Department for 20-months and was used in 364 deployments. In lieu of flowers, the Oshkosh Police Department asks that cash donations be made to the department’s K-9 program at police headquarters on Jackson Street.
