AUSTIN, TX — The total eclipse of the sun has concluded. But not before leaving many able to see part of it or the entire solar eclipse in awe. That includes Lawrence University physics professor Megan Pickett, who traveled to Austin, Texas to witness the event at a local park. She shared her experiences and thoughts on her YouTube channel as the eclipse happened.
Professor Picket also was amazed that street lights began coming on and birds started landing and singing their evening songs before the eclipse reached it’s peak. She also says with the peak of sunspots and other activity this event was superior to watching the 2017 total eclipse.
