MENASHA, Wis–Appleton’s decision not to contract with a rental electric scooter company means those vehicles will not be available in Neenah or Menasha either. Bird Rides has let the leaders of those cities know that without the revenue generated by rides in Appleton, they will not be able to have scooters available anywhere in the region.
A letter from Government Partnerships Manager Jimmy Gilman asks Menasha and Neenah officials to contact Appleton leaders and encourage them to reach a contract agreement with Bird again in the future.
