MADISON, Wis–The Wisconsin Supreme Court rules bans on the use of absentee ballot drop boxes is unconstitutional. That reverses a previous decision by the court that their use outside of election clerks’s offices was not allowed under state law.

That ruling was made under the court’s previous four-three conservative majority. Today’s decision was four-three in favor of the liberal majority. The ruling means that clerks can use drop boxes for voting in the August 13th primaries.
