Chef Jeff’s Seven Layer Salad
- Iceberg Lettuce, rough chopped 1 head
- Mayonnaise 2 Cups
- Black Pepper, ground Optional
- Peas, green, blanched, or thawed from frozen 1½ Cups
- Onion, green, medium dice ¾ Cup
- Celery, medium dice ¾ Cup
- Cheddar Cheese, shredded 8 ounces
- Bacon, cooked, crumbled 1 Cup
Directions
- In a large pan at least 10×13, layer the salad in the order of ingredients as listed,
- Lettuce
- Mayonnaise
- Black pepper (optional)
- Peas
- Green Onions
- Celery
- Cheddar Cheese
- Bacon
- Allow the salad to marry for at least one hour before service.
- Reserve for service. Preparing 2-4 hours or more in advance is effective to allow the flavors to marry.
