FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Fond du Lac police will have an increased presence at two middle schools Monday after alleged social media threats Friday and Sunday.
In a letter from the Fond du Lac School District shared on the police department’s Facebook page, the district says it was made aware of an alleged threat to Thiesen Middle School on Friday. That led the district and a school resource officer to begin an investigation.
Over the weekend, the alleged threat spread over social media and impacted Woodworth Middle School, and staff from that school became part of the investigation.
Police determined there was no credible threat to safety at either school. However, Fond du Lac police are boosting their presence at both schools as a precaution.
