Remains found in Two Rivers identified as those of Elijah Vue

TWO RIVER, WI — Two Rivers Police says the skeletal remains of a young child found near a Two Rivers girl scout camp are those of three-year-old Elijah Vue. His family has been notified. The Amber Alert has now been cancelled in the case. Police Chief Ben Meinnert annouced those finding at an afternoon news briefing.  Elijah Vue was reported missing in February from apartment where he was in the care of his mother, Katrina Baur’s boyfriend Jesse Vang. During questioning by police, Vang said he awoke from a nap and Elijah was nowhere to be seen. Vang and Baur are being held on child neglect charges related to Elijah Vue’s disappearance, though formal charges have yet to be filed. Chief Meinner says this case is now a death investigation. Police and volunteers searched many locations for Vue including the girl scout camp twice.
