The 2024 hurricane season is bringing the unimaginable to many areas of the Southeast.
Meanwhile, the devastation from Hurricane Helene has brought unimaginable flooding to many areas, leaving some people with nothing. The storm has caused widespread devastation throughout the Southeast.
Food, water and other supplies are being flown to some areas left unreachable by the storm, and humanitarian groups are gathering aid to help. You’ll find information on how to donate to those humanitarian groups in the links below.

The Neenah Police Department is working with N&M Transfer Co., Inc., and Pick ‘n Save to help bring water and nonperishable items to the victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. On October 16, 2024, N&M Transfer will park a semi-trailer at Pick n’ Save (Green Bay Road location) in the City of Neenah.
Volunteers will be available to collect non perishable items. Here’s a list of the most needed items, (no clothing please).

- Canned foods (pop-top cans preferred, not requiring a can opener)

On a local front, six firefighters with the Appleton Fire Department joined the Wisconsin Task Force 1 team to assist with search and rescue efforts in North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
