I said on my show over 100 times, if you are a left leaning person, you probably will not get behind a single nominee that Donald Trump will make for Cabinet as we get closer to Inauguration Day.
Thus far, based on liberal news outlet reactions, I’ve been pretty spot on
As a country, we are headed toward 4 years of deregulation and tax cuts for people that possess net worth higher than you could possibly hope to count.
Some people read this and shudder, others read this and celebrate. It’s the beauty of politics, I suppose.
The more I learn about the Cabinet picks, the more I have begun to drill down on questionable parts of a nominee’s work history that would be concerning– Regardless of political ideology.
Case in point: Former Wisconsin Congressperson, Sean Duffy, was tapped to be Donald Trump’s Transportation Secretary. He will be replacing Pete Buttigieg who, despite being part of a slow start, has done an admirable job in the position for the last 2 years.
We’ve seen airlines become more transparent about the total cost of flying, pointless cost get eliminated from the purchase, and even have an opportunity to be refunded when an airline doesn’t give you the thing you paid for.
After the announcement of Mr. Duffy’s nomination, the media got to work developing partisan talking points. “He’s a Fox News Host”, “He’s Been On Reality TV”, “He’s a Trump ‘yes man'”. The list goes on and on.
Here’s a little tid bit that I’m willing to bet you may not be aware of, but Mr. Duffy spent time lobbying on behalf of airlines. This lobby effort specifically targeted the new rules that were brought about by the Biden Administration.
The same rules that made traveling more affordable for Americans.
Most mainstream media isn’t covering this part of the story, but there are groups that are handling it.
Accountable.US is a bi-partisan effort to focus on accountability in the world of government. They are the group that got this story on my radar, and their Executive Director, Tony Carrk, took some time to join me to talk about the specifics of this reporting.
