MADISON, Wis. — The 2024 gun-deer season in Wisconsin is off to a slow start.
The DNR reports 89,200 whitetails were registered during the opening weekend. That compares to 90,800 the first two days of the 2023 season.

Pritzl adds that things were good in areas west and south of the Fox Valley……………….
It was a safe opening weekend, as there were no firearms-related injuries reported.
