APPLETON, Wis. — A Freedom woman whose toddler daughter died from a drug overdose reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Brooke Seal is convicted in Outagamie County Court on charges of neglect of a child with a consequence of death and possession of illegal articles by an inmate.
Seal’s 2-year-old daughter died in January of last year after being exposed to fentanyl-laced meth in their apartment. Seal was allowing Faheem Jones, the alleged owner of the drugs, to stay with them.
Seal faces up to 28 years in prison when sentenced on March 24. Jones is still awaiting trial.
