An 82-year-old man charged with a cold case murder in Sturgeon Bay is waiving his extradition.
Richard Pierce was arrested two weeks ago in Cheboygan, Michigan for the death of his wife in 1975. Carol Jean Pierce disappeared while the couple was living in Sturgeon Bay.
Door County prosecutors charged him after a state cold case review team helped look at the investigation.
