A lot has changed in the job market since you’ve graduated high school. Did you know students can now get started in the work-world before they’ve even graduated?
Youth Apprenticeships take students out of the classroom and put them on job sites, learning about skilled trades and careers in construction and other fields. Nels Lawrence, the Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator for Kaukauna High School, works closely with Jeff Knaus at Local 400 skilled trade union and Jeff Gaecke from the Mechanical Contractors Association to make this happen.
