UW-Green Bay hopes to solve water issues in northeast Wisconsin and around the world through a new program.
The school will start offering a bachelor’s degree in water science.
Professor Kevin Fermanich says water is a base of the economy. He says from tourism to industry, water resources and recreational opportunities are important to communities.
Staff expects to begin the program as early as this fall.
