An Appleton Democrat says there are better ways to invest the proposed incentives for Foxconn.
Rep. Amanda Stuck opposes Governor Walker’s offer of up to $3 billion.
The company would have to hire up to 13,000 workers and build a $10 billion facility in order to get all of the money.
Stuck believes everything would have to work out perfectly for the state to benefit.
Stuck says the state could create jobs and attract companies, by spending the money on entrepreneurs, education, and renewable energy.
She spoke at the Appleton Public Library this afternoon.
The head of the advocacy group Citizen Action of Wisconsin was also there to oppose the proposal.
