As part of our LIFE in Motion series, Josh dove deeply into the issue of poverty in the Fox Valley with Mary Parsons from LEAVEN Fox Cities. They exist to support people through moments of crisis, acting as the “financial emergency room” and a connection to additional resources.
Mary talked about trends she has seen in her 15 years at LEAVEN, and how their successful capital campaign will allow them to bring together more than a dozen service providers under one roof. She feels this will help address root causes of poverty and the generational cycle that traps some in our community.
