A 53-year-old Oshkosh man reached a plea deal on racketeering and theft charges.
Sterling Kienbaum of Fox Valley Iron and Metal is accused of stealing more than $14 million from Sadoff Iron and Metal Company over a six-year-period. Prosecutors say he was loading scrap vehicles with dirt to increase their weight.
Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says Fond du Lac police led the investigation.
Kienbaum will be back in court in May for a three-day restitution hearing. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in June.
